LOUIS VUITTON

In 1854, Louis Vuitton, a trunk craftsman, opened the world's first specialty store for travel bags on Rue des Capucines, Paris.
The name of Louis Vuitton became famous in a blink of an eye because it succeeded in reducing the weight by devising a stackable flat lid trunk and adopting a special waterproof cotton.
The patterns "Monogram" and "Damie", which were devised by being troubled by imitations, are now used for various items and have become the icon of the brand.
In 1997 (~ 2014), American designer Marc Jacobs was appointed as creative director, and the new collection as Louis Vuitton established a new market.
